What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting (this could really save money as we regularly run event specific promotions), the estimated number of guests, potential venue and whether it's an indoor or outdoor event. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable and competitive quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, check with the provider that they know exactly what you are looking for. Ask the mobile bar provider about their menus and why they are serving what they are serving. After all we are a premium drinks service so that should be our main goal. Also, find out about their equipment and staff as better equipment and staff competency will mean they can make better tasting drinks more efficiently. Check to see if the company is part of a national body for example NCASS, also make sure that at least one of their staff members holds a personal alcohol licence and that they have knowledge on the licensing laws.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Soirée Mobile Bars & Bartender Academy was born out of the love of providing good hospitality, whatever the event! The in house team collectively have experience of over 20 years in the entertainment, bar and cocktail trade. Our passion has always been providing great service and giving people the day of their dreams. Our standards are set very high and our recruitment and training process is very stringent. All of our bartenders are master flair bartenders and mixologists and with our own in house bar academy which supplies various nightclubs, restaurants and bar chains, you know you are getting the best of the best.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Wow! There have been lots of bookings through this platform. All of them have been fantastic. If I had to pick one, it would be our outdoor bar at an outdoor nightclub style event in Essex last summer. We had close to 1500 people at the event, and we nailed it! The reviews were amazing, they could not understand how we pulled off such a swift and yet entertaining bar service. The client and their guests were very happy and are using us again for their future events and so another regular client gets added to our ever growing portfolio.
