What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To help us to provide a comprehensive quote the most helpful information is, number of guests, duration of event, the proposed event date and, the type of service our customers require. From there, we are then able to plan the event alongside the client and tweak our package to suit their event best. If the event has a specific theme, it is always good to let us know so that we can tailor a package just for you.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Essentially, you will get a similar service from all the mobile bars you contact so you need to ask the right questions and give the right information to help you decide which supplier is best for you. Sometimes a lower price per head is not always better value for money so find out what you're getting for your money and why they're offering the products they provide. Ask the provider what sets them apart from the competition.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

When I started Bow Tie Bar, I wanted to provide a more environmentally friendly service whilst promoting smaller local breweries and vineyards. With a history in hospitality and customer facing roles, I wanted to be hands on and work every event possible so that I could meet the people I'm providing a service for. I also wanted to provide a more flexible and customer friendly service that can work for any event, big or small.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

As a new member of Add To Event, we are yet to have a booking through them but still absolutely love the service they provide. It's so handy being able to pay as you go, especially as a small business. I'm also really happy with the level of information they get clients to provide so that I can send an accurate quote without wasting any time or money. I have already recommended them to a few friends I have met in the events industry.
