What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer we need: Event date, timings, description of event, number of guests, type of bar they are looking for (inside or outside), if electricity and water are available, whether or not we need to apply for a license, is it a cash or prepaid bar. We can then, with this information, put together a quote.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask how long they have been providing this service or how long they have been in the industry. Are they licensed to provide the service and what insurance they have? What equipment they use, whether the beers are on draught on via bottles. What spirits do they sell? Do they offer premium or standard drinks?
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
The Classic Bar Box was started by a husband and wife team after running a local village pub and organising weddings, parties, celebrations and events in the pub and surrounding area. We wanted to create a mobile bar that was not only visually stunning, but served the best drinks at budget prices. We searched long and hard and believe we now have found what we were looking for.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We receive many, many requests for bookings via Add to Event and would, and do, highly recommend them to anyone with a business or anyone looking for businesses. The money we have spent with Add to Event has been well worth it and far better than any other advertising we have done with our business.
