Previous attendance figures would be good, and if they have any other hot food vendors supplying their event. Firstly though, it would be good to find out all of the key information, including the date of the event and budget.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, we would ask the customer to check our reviews on here and social media. Booking a mobile caterer/mobile bar are as important as the venue - they make or break an event.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I was involved in the licensed trade for just over 15 years; then took a bit of a career change into sales lasting about 8 years, with my true calling bringing me back to the hospitality industry. I packed in my sales job, and formed the new business, opening my first butty van on a builders yard! People say I was mad and maybe I was, but that is what it takes to follow your dreams. Fast forward 4 years on, we have multiple units & setups from catering to crepes to bars, with our first fixed site due to open in November 2018!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We've had great success through Add to Event. We get direct requests now where people have fished us out from a public event; the latest being a private party catering for 500 guests - a real success story. The client has reviewed us, which was testimony to the hard work that went in behind the scenes before the event. We had a two day trading day that started at 6.30am & finished at 4.30 am the following day, then a day pack down. The client was very happy and has re-booked for next year!
