What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We require the event date, the location, indoor or outdoor, the type of event, number of guests and a potential spec list for the event. This will enable us to provide you with a relatively accurate quotation to ensure you get the right information,

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

We would recommend to any potential customer that they do some research and ensure their provider has a good knowledge of the area they work in. We would also recommend that they check to see what equipment their provider is using and if it is up to the task. We ensure we always have spares and back up plans should anything go wrong (it hasn't done yet) but a large amount of the time we get last-minute phone calls from people asking if we can cover as they have been let down.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Our business started in the late 70s early 80s as a spin-off from a dance school. They wanted to hold events on a weekend evening so this seemed the perfect fit. Fast forward a few years and we were providing mobile bars and discos to marquees and church halls etc. Come the 90s times change and we started to leave the bar world and focus on discos and live PA. Conferences then came alongside this and as technology developed we invested in projectors and screens etc.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We are looking forward to our first booking through Add to Event as we are a new member but we are excited about increasing our workload through 2020 and beyond.
