What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event you are hosting, the estimated number of guests, and a potential venue, whether it's an indoor or outdoor event. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable equipment list and design.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Check that the products they use are hypoallergenic, specially designed for sensitive skin. Also, find out if they have public liability insurance for your peace of mind.
Be aware that the decoration takes some time to set up, and make sure that you have access to the venue with enough time before the event starts.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started 8 years ago one day when I was organising my daughter's 2nd birthday party, I just thought that I can maybe learn some simple designs to do face painting at the party to entertain the kids.
After the party finished I just started to get complimentary messages about my painting and that was love at first sight! Since then I've just been practising every time I can and now is a very healthy growing business:-)
