What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

At Jest Events, we like to provide a detailed quote including all the features of the particular item of equipment you are interested in hiring. For us to quote for you we need the date of the event, the location of the event (postcode is best!) the Item of equipment you are interested in hiring, and the time of day you need it! The more detail about your event the better, but those are the main pieces of info we need to provide you with a quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When you are looking for some entertainment for your event, get some up to date photos of the equipment so you know exactly what to expect and how it will look at your event. Make sure you know exactly what's included in your hire fee, for example, we include unlimited prints with our Photo Booth, which is not always the case with Photo Booth hire companies. A professional looking website, good reviews, proof of Public Liability Insurance and experience in the event industry can also be key factors in deciding to hire someone.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Jest Events began back in 2004, taking the experience from our previous careers in the Hospitality & Service industries to start what is now known as Jest Events. The working hours meant we could be around for our young children as they grew up and at the same time run a business that was hard work but more importantly, fun and rewarding!

Over the years, the types of equipment we offer have changed, but our principal aim of supplying a memorable fun experience to our customers remains the same.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Jest Events only recently joined Add to Event but are already very happy with the response we have received to the quotes we have provided. We have several bookings from Add to Event lined up for the summer season and look forward to completing our first one soon!
