Taste Catering & Events provides a number of catering services from a personal chef to corporate catering as well as wedding breakfasts and buffets. They can also supply catering equipment, furniture hire, marquees, a fully stocked bar and even hire out staff! Not only all that but here they also provide advice for when hiring a provider for your event.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, and a potential venue, whether it's an indoor or outdoor event. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable equipment list and design.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly, ask the provider about the product they are offering, I wouldn't want my hair cut by someone who didn't know much about hair so why choose a caterer that knows little about the catering business. Ask about their menu and why they are serving what they are serving and how flexible can they be. Also, find out about their equipment and how they will serve the food on the day. Check their insurance and hygiene certificates.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Taste Catering came about just through the love of cooking and a passion for that business that I have. We have started off small and slowly we are growing bigger and bigger with some incredible feedback. Which makes it all worthwhile.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We recently booked a lady in from Coventry for a 70th birthday party, so we contacted her and told her what we could provide her with, which she was very happy with she then sent us a deposit and we did the booking. After the event, she told us how happy she was with our service and would use us again. We then received a five-star rating. I would definitely recommend Add to Event they have helped my business grow incredibly.
