Ellis Elite Events are a family run business who provide large light-up letters and have even had the pleasure of working with the cast of Made in Chelsea! They share several tips here for what to check in a similar provider.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a good quality quote to any host or event organiser, we ideally need to know the event date, a brief description of exactly with you require, the venue you are holding your event at and whether you desire the product to be inside or outside. We will use this information to compose a quote from our experience and expertise to best suit your event's needs.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, ask your provider about their product, how it's made? how it's stored and how it's transported, lots of things can get damaged in transport and knowing that your provider cares for their product will show you how much they will care about your event. Also, ask about insurances, most venues require insurance and PAT testing documents from providers, providers have to pay for these insurances and services if they don’t have them your venue may turn them away. So don’t pay for a product you can not use at your venue. Ask as many questions as you can and as a provider, they should be able to answer all questions to assure you that they will do their best to provide you with outstanding service for your event.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We loved planning our wedding many years ago and when we both found ourselves out of work at the same time we decided to make our dream come true and start our own business in the event/wedding industry. We absolutely love being apart of peoples celebrations, its such a happy time for people and watching their joy from something we have created is just an amazing blessing for us.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We are new to Add to Event and we are currently awaiting our 1st booking. I’m sure once it happens it will be amazing and most events are. So far we love using this platform as it is easy quick and simple to respond to requests and time saving which allows us more time to spend with our valued customers.
