What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need to know an estimated amount of guests. What payment type is preferred e.g. guests paying themselves or payment before the event? The type of cuisine and theme you are looking for as we like to make things more personal, and also the amount of time we would be required.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

With whatever service I am looking for I always like to look at the background of the supplier. Have a look on social media as this is a key modern day element to getting to know someone's business. Reviews are always good to read and question them on what makes them unique and why you should be looking at booking them rather than someone else.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

​Let me tell you how 'The Forager' came to be. With my Grandfather passing away due to cancer and myself being diagnosed at 22, I did a lot of research into how cancer has become such an epidemic. All roads led to one thing; diet. The human race has moved so far away from the traditional raw food diet and everything is so GM and mass produced with various chemicals now - and this has consequences for us all.
Thus, I am striving for us all to stay healthy - by eating fresh and tasty food - in the company of friends and family, sharing good times and hopefully creating some memories too...

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Well "Add To Event" is like my bible. Not only do we get so many requests from the site but our profile is also a great aspect to show people outside of the website. I think it is organised really well and the booking system is so easy to navigate. It gives us plenty of information on each job that comes in so makes it really simple to communicate with the host.
