What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To provide a comprehensive quote to a customer I would like the event date, if possible, along with the type of venue they are hoping for. Be it a marquee, village hall or private house I can use my experience to guide them through their options. The desired food choices and whether they would like a seated and served meal or a buffet.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you do your research well. There are a lot of caterers out there and a lot of very bad ones!
Look at photos on the FB page and check the reviews. If possible speak to a previous customer.

I have always loved food and making people happy! From starting off by offering small dinners I was asked to quote for an Agricultural show where I would be responsible for feeding 800 people! it went so well that now 15 years later I am still providing the catering and offering a great service.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have been very lucky to have had numerous bookings. The one that sticks in my mind was a wedding for 30 guests during the covid crisis. First it was on then off and finally we managed to get it done during a small window before the rules changed. The bride and groom were so grateful and we received so many compliments regarding the food.
