What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We will be able to provide a quote when we know when the event is taking place, what kind of event it is, what exactly is needed, and whether the delivery of goods is required. If hiring equipment we will be able to give a quote when we know how long you wish to hire items for, and whether you will be collecting and returning goods. If we are expected to decorate any reception tables or similar we will need to know about times of access to the venue.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask to see examples of previous work. Find out if there is a website showing examples of previous work. Find out if a deposit is required, and how much notice is needed. Also make sure you agree on dimensions such as height, length and width. If you're getting married and require a wedding bouquet and the florist does not ask you what your wedding dress is like, I would think twice about using them. They should be ensuring that the bouquet they create for you compliments you and what you are going to be wearing on the day.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

There is nothing more satisfying and fulfilling than seeing our customers smile at the sight of something we have created specifically for them.
Initially, we would get asked to create displays and decorations for birthday parties at home and small scale events. Which then escalated to bigger venues such as events where 20 to 30 centrepieces would be required. Working with flowers is so therapeutic for both us and the clients who receive them. When you are in receipt of a beautiful bouquet, it's a wonderful feeling and most of all when they are bespoke bouquets you know that every flower and colour etc was chosen especially with you in mind.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

This is my first day so very new to Add to Event! I hope to give a more informed response in the not too distant future and am looking forward to my bookings soon.
