1st Class Wedding Photography & Videography provides photography that is a mixture of documentary and modern with twists on the traditional, capturing your day as it unfolds from start to finish. Their images are a mix of romantic, elegant portraits mixed with a more relaxed, informal style.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
Most of what I need to know is handled with my enquiry form on my website. However, the usual things like dates and location are really important and often missed out when enquiring. Knowing whether clients are also interested in other services I can provide means they can save on package deals and not have to find deposits for multiple suppliers.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look at examples of their work, please don't just book on price. See how responsive they are to questions. Check out their testimonials. For photo booths ask them about what photography experience they have. I have seen so many photo booths at weddings where those running them just put them on automatic settings. This is ok for some events but for the others its a gamble. Look also at the size and quality of their prop collections. We take over 500 props for each event. A lot of others I have seen have been around 20 props. Guests get bored if there isn't enough selection to choose from.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I originally started in graphic design which turned into a lot of commercial photography. I also worked for many years in wedding entertainment and photobooth supply for events and weddings as well as photographing weddings on a part-time basis. In 2015 I finally decided to take the leap into full-time wedding photography and videography. Since then my wedding photography, videography and photo booth business has gone from strength to strength.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Since joining I have received bookings from this site. There are lots who pick based on price but there have been some who recognise the quality we offer over others.
