What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

All quotes are done on a personal level based on your requirements. Ideally we need the event date and time a brief explanation of the event you are hosting ie wedding, birthday party, corporate event, Christmas party etc, the estimated number of guests and the location including indoors or outdoors. the type of music you require is also important to mention

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

i would make sure you have looked at social media and checked reviews to make sure they are the right DJ for you as all DJs offer different experiences, Make sure you ask the right questions like what kind of music they play this is really important if you are having a 60th birthday party for example and they like Motown and Northern soul music you wouldn't want to book a House DJ. Knowing the number size of your party is also more important than you might think so we know to bring the right sizes speakers for the venue a party with 50 people in the room is a lot different from a room with 250 people in it.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started as a DJ I had a love for music when I was in uni it then became part of my everyday job role when I joined the holiday park sector and became an entertainer for Haven Holidays working there for 11 years I then went on to work on cruise ships and DJ on there again as part of my role fast forward a few more years and I became a stay at home mum who's love for music and Entertaining didn't go away and so I became a Moblie DJ who also host karaoke which allows me to still meet lots of people become part of there big event and keeps my passion for music alive, I really enjoy that every event is different and I play any kind of music from the 60s to The new No1 to trance music and all the cheese in-between.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

There been a few bookings but two that stand out would be an Abba event I was part of and DJ'd. There were about 200 people who turned up in. It was such a great night everybody really enjoyed themselves and when the ABBA tribute came on the stage we carried on the party with all kinds of music from the 70s and 80s.
Another event was a netball presentation evening it was their very first one and the brief was I would go at 6 and set up and then leave and come back at half past 8 to start Djing at 9 pm after I had set up they asked for some background music and then asked if had microphones and how it all worked so they can use them for the presentation. I then offered to stay though and help them out with the sound so they didn't have to do it and so it would run as smoothly as it could. I added little touches like playing music when people came to collect their awards the organiser was so happy that I stayed and couldn't thank me enough for making their night easier for them and i have been booked for their next awards evening.
