Browns Craft Coffee are a mobile coffee company specialising in hand-brewed coffees which are customised to the particular event. Served from a specialist trike, the unique cold coffee cocktails and cold coffee draughts can be hired to events all around Norfolk. The various coffee blends are mixed with a variety of infusions and ingredients to create a bespoke service for any occasion.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
As a bespoke company, we understand that every event is bespoke. So in order to give the most honest and accurate quote possible, we need to understand the exact times needed, date of event, venue and the venue’s layout as to not come across unwanted obstacles such as bad terrain, lack of electric, lack of access to event areas etc. Is the event a wedding, charity event, private event, corporate event? All these factors play a part in what equipment we would bring and what sorts of coffees we would offer.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be specific. Ask lots of questions and don't hesitate to ask for prior experience and knowledge of any similar events they have taken part in similar to your own. Ask for a breakdown of costs as to not be surprised by any pop-up costs. Ask the vendor if they have a website and/or social links so you can view their work and credibility.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started my coffee company to provide what I already provide to bars and restaurants on a mobile stage. I love creating cold brew coffee and the process of its creation, it is an exciting beverage and always grabs people’s attention when I pour and mix the coffee with infusions, bitters and other ingredients. Being able to bring this as well as hot coffee cocktails to an event brings a real, exciting edge as it’s not generally something people have tried before and I love to see their expression when they try this drink for the first time!
