What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order for us to provide a comprehensive quote we would need the date and time of the event and whether they are paying in advance or the guests will be paying for the coffee themselves. We need to know the expected numbers and an idea of minimum and maximum can also be useful. We can begin our initial quote from here and then identify what items they would like included, such as mochas or particular cakes, to provide a more comprehensive individualised quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would suggest asking for experience, qualifications and food safety hygiene details. Make sure that they choose a provider who is willing to share information and ask questions about the coffee machine, food offering or business values and ethics so that the customer can be sure to get good value for their money. Ask for references or reviews, it's always good practice to see a providers track record.

Vintage Doris was created to provide an ethical and sustainable mobile catering business. With a background in managing coffee shop chains, I became aware how businesses should improve to make a positive impact on the environment and society. We have a very strong sustainability policy and provide nothing but the best in service, coffee, tea and cakes. Running our own business means that we can source responsibly and give back to our community and choose top notch products for our customers!

It has been a very positive experience and some of the clients want to use us again so it is a great way to begin long lasting relationships. I have promoted this platform to others in the industry who weren't aware as it's a great way for us to get bookings all year round.
