What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide an accurate, comprehensive quote we need to know the date, timings, number of guests, any additional evening guests (if it's a wedding), whether the client would like a 'pay bar service', 'complimentary drinks', or a bit of both. We also need to know about the venue and access. Is it in a marquee or set up separately? From this we can provide a quotation and if necessary add any extras such as our giant LOVE letters, DJ service, glassware, themed cocktails etc.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

A recommended, trusted, experienced and reliable provider is essential - especially when you simply want to leave the drinks service in capable hands. Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

The Bugbar was set up in 2013 following a lifetime of working in the music, hospitality and events world. I set up my first bar (Bar Vinyl in Camden) in 1996 and have organised hundreds of events. I have always been a bit of a festival aficionado, passionate about music and drinks. As an owner of several VW camper vans the idea was to combine my passions and hence the Bugbar business was born. The concept was to bring together all the elements - drinks, music, festivals, camper vans and events with customer satisfaction at the heart of what we do.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Having recently joined this platform we are inundated with requests for our services. We regard ourselves as being more than just a bar setup, bringing more than just drinks to the event. Our first booking from Add to Event is this summer. We've been to survey the wedding site overlooking the sea near to where we are based in Brighton and it promises to be a fantastic day/night.
