This quirky van is available for hire for any event - here they tell us more about their catering experience.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a quote that matches your requirements, we need to understand what service you are looking for - ideally, we need to understand if you would like to pre-pay for the alcohol or whether you would like your guests to pay. Obviously, the date you are looking to secure and the postcode are also key to providing you with a quote.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Please ask us how much alcohol you are likely to go through, as the amount of alcohol lost due to over ordering can save you a lot of money. Give some thought to the placement of the bar and how easy it will be for guests to get to it. Also, consider glassware as this can be an afterthought but you want the cost of it included.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Kombi Keg is an Australian franchise that started in the UK in 2017, and we will soon have a number of vehicles in the UK. My history includes having run a pub and franchise restaurant, but now I run an events agency so this franchise just felt like the right fit for me. I love ensuring guests have an amazing experience.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have hit the ground running on Add to Event, I get numerous queries per week and have delivered a number of events from weddings to corporate events. Recently, a company that was racing dragon boats on the Thames asked us to supply unlimited prosecco to their guests who wanted to serve themselves, we got through 96 litres of prosecco and everyone had a great time. We also recently delivered a full bar in a field for a "glamping wedding", what a great idea, the guests really enjoyed the fact that they could rest in their tents rather than drive home.
