What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a detailed and accurate quote to a customer we would require the following information:
Date of Event
Location of Event
Do you require the full setup, do you require any extra services
The Duration of the event (start and end finish times)
Number of guests (so we know what equipment to bring)
Is the Event on the ground floor or upstairs
Is the event inside or outside
This would be enough information to be able to offer you a detailed quote and it also offers the chance to find out exactly what it is you require for your event.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would say talk to the supplier and find out exactly what they can offer you. Read their reviews on here, Facebook page etc to see what the customers are saying about them and if they are recommending the supplier in question.
Talk to the supplier and ask them any questions you may have, read their response to your enquiry and see if you have a good feeling about them and what they can do for you.
Have a look at any photos to see if you like the suppliers' setup, find out about additional services they may offer. You may find you can get a few of the services you require from the one supplier.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I have always been into music from a very young age, I had a record player when I was young and I used to like listening to the records. When I went with my mum and other family members to a Wedding my uncle asked the DJ if I could help carry the equipment in, once the disco had started I was amazed by it and I knew I wanted to be a DJ there and then. A few years later my school acquired some disco equipment and asked us to do the school discos. I loved every second of it.
Fast forward about 6 years later, when I got my first job, I purchased a piece or a few pieces of DJ equipment until I had a setup that I could use to go out with. I started doing the local pubs and social clubs and really loved what I was doing. A few years later I did my friends Wedding and right there and then I knew I wanted to specialise in Weddings.
I have been to many seminars and workshops to train in being a Wedding MC etc. I have now built a very good one-stop Wedding shop as I call it where I supply a wide variety of service.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Add to Event has been absolutely fantastic, in fact, this is where I get most of my work. I have done a variety of different Weddings from here and every single one has been fantastic. I highly recommend Add to Event for all of your event needs when searching for a supplier for your special event.
One particular event that sticks in my mind that a got through here was saving the day for Amy and Tim who's Wedding DJ let them down a week before their Wedding. It was an amazing Wedding and thanks to Add to Event I was able to help them out, save their day and make their wedding one to remember. You can see their review on my profile.
