Mesmerized Events provide sweets and candy carts, plus a whole host of other services, for a variety of events and have been doing so since 2014. Here they take some time out to give you their advice on what makes a great events supplier.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order to provide client with a comprehensive and competitive quote, we will need to know the event date, the type of event they are have, the theme they are hoping to achieve, their ideal budget, the amount of guests expected to attend, the venue they have chosen and whether it's an indoor or outdoor event. With this information, we are able to construct an ideal package which we will go through with the client to make sure all areas of the event have been covered to the client satisfaction.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Before choosing a supplier, always ask the level of service they provide, whether they are liability insured (if there are electrical appliances involved), what packages they have on offer and what's included, whether there are any terms and conditions. Also, ask the supplier how much experience they have in doing an event like you and please ask for pictures or portfolio of work.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Mesmerized Events started in 2014 providing electrical appliance hiring, such as photo booth, chocolate fountain, candy floss and popcorn. Gradually over the years, I have gained new returning clients who recommend my services and gained more experience. Every hurdle is a learning curve which influences me to review any issues, to prevent a repeat. I am so passionate about what I do that I have joined with a few venues, promoters to enhance my exposure.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I am still pretty new to this and I can recall my first client via Add to Event. It was the hiring of a popcorn and candy floss machine which was last minute and the client was under so much pressure. I was able to help the client by going the extra mile and supporting other features of her event. I would highly recommend Add to Event as it is straight forward and anything you require can be found all in one place.
