What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
The more details, the better! We aim to give a complete quote so you can make an informed choice when selecting us as your event caterer. Date, time and duration of the event, location, type of event, number of people, your expectations and ideal type of food. We are really flexible and always aim to provide a clear idea of what we will be providing.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you're reading this then you are looking for an excellent caterer and fantastic food, someone with a good reputation. Outside of the obvious "hygiene rating of 5" (which we have), take a look at their social media - do they post images of their food and events, do they look like they love what they are doing? Passion for food and service should be evident from who you select to cater on your big day! Passion usually means excellence and will ensure you get great food at your event.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Laurie built the trailer to provide food & drink in the outside space of the Brewery Tap that Lizzie was managing in summer 2016. This outdoor space hosted cinema, gigs & classic car rallies. From all-day service to fast start, high volume, compact delivery such as during film interval, our trailer delivered the food & drink, maintaining quality at all times. When the Brewery moved, we towed the trailer away & into the 'wild'. From summer 2017 we have been on the road, visiting events and private hires.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
The first Add to Event booking we had was a last minute private party that popped into our inbox just as we had a cancellation for a similar sized event. It turned out to be a great event and we delivered a first-class private barbecue party in a beautiful garden of a lovely house in the country. Everyone had a lovely evening and we had great feedback on our food and service.
