What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote we need to know the date of the event, the postcode of the event, the approximate time of service, the number of guests and if you would like sweet and savoury crepes or sweet only? Would we be the main caterer or will there be other foods on offer?

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

It's great to get requests where people give a bit of background about the event or what the occasion is for. A bit of personality helps us taylor the quote better. Would be good to hear also if people have already tried a variety of cuisine before or if they are wanting something quite traditional. Being honest about the budget avoids time wasting!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Simmons Creperie started in 2010 with a market stall. Following popular demand for new, interesting catering options other than burgers and fish and chips, we entered the wonderful word of event catering. Since then we have had an amazing time cooking at weddings, on movie sets and for big and small corporate parties. We strive to provide simple but super tasty food with convivial and professional service.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Add to Event is by far the best platform to get leads. I have had so many bookings over the past few years! I remember a lady who was looking for something different for her wedding catering but didn't have ideas. When we submitted our proposal for crepe and galettes she was super excited about the novelty factor and the fact that we could do sweet, savoury, gluten free, vegan etc. in one reasonably priced package. Whenever I cannot accommodate a potential client on the phone I send them straight onto Add to Event.
